what we see

This is all we see of Eli lately. The child is consumed by several things......

his Nintendo DS...and his books (he devours them)...
luckily we see this too...

fabulous bathroom

This is heaven.... (which is such a wonderful change because showering in our old bathroom was really unpleasant).

The first photo is looking into the shower area to the right, into the tub area....
the second photo is looking into the shower to the left, but it only shows one of the shower heads. There are two shower heads. So nice.... showering and bathing are now a luxury in our house.

and there is one more sink to the left of the one you can see in the photo below, and the doorway to the toilet is on the right.

almost done

with the bathroom... yeah!!! tiles have all been put in, even added some beach glass into the floor hidden amongst the rocks, as it is in Maine. Even our tile guy had fun picking out pieces to put in!

The light is great in the new space and I love it. I can hardly wait to actually use it. The plumber is supposed to be here next Monday to finish it, then hopefully it will be totally usable by Monday night! YEAH!!! now we just need to wait for the carpet to come in for the bedroom before we can move into there.

what a way

to start the new year......

I spent the last day of 2007 and the first day of 2008 on the slopes for 8 hours each day! How great is that?!

Sunny on the last day,
(the ski patrol shack at the top)

and snowing on the first...

(view out from the lodge during my lunch break- not much of a crowd)
I must say, I am loving my new job. The pay kind of sucks, but the perks, both physical and mental, are fantastic.

great evening

new year's eve... in Hartford for early fireworks with the boys. Meg and I took them to the 6pm fireworks.... then home to have great meat fondue with neighbors. It was a nice change since we usually make cheese fondue in my beautiful swiss pot.

I made a good variety of sauces for dipping. I had fun planning it out with Meg too, who then ended up missing out on the supper. I was bummed as she is my best friend and I had thought she was going to stay. ... but my neighbor friends made me laugh harder than I have in ages. What a night!
